Description
This FRP equipment is an industrial wet scrubber system used for air pollution control in process industries. Its primary function is to clean contaminated exhaust air by removing harmful gases, fumes, vapors, and fine particulate matter before release into the atmosphere. The system works by bringing polluted air into close contact with a scrubbing liquid (usually water or a chemical solution), which absorbs, neutralizes, or traps pollutants.
The vertical cylindrical towers act as gas–liquid contact chambers, while the interconnected ducting controls airflow through the system. After treatment, the cleaned air exits safely through the outlet stacks. Wet scrubbers are commonly used to control acidic gases, chemical fumes, toxic odors, and dust.
Such systems are widely installed in chemical plants, pharmaceutical units, refineries, fertilizer plants, electroplating units, and waste treatment facilities. They help industries meet environmental regulations, protect worker health, reduce corrosion and odor issues, and ensure safe, continuous operation of industrial processes.
